1- What is Solar Energy?

Solar energy is an alternative and renewable energy source that comes from the sun. The use of the abundant flow of solar energy, without harming the environment, represents a very viable option capable of providing clean energy.

2- How does it work?

The Photovoltaic modules are combined in series creating the "strings" that are grouped in parallel in the combination box generating the total direct current (DC) output. The DC output of this combination is injected into the interactive inverter that transforms the direct current (DC) into alternating current (AC), which is in turn injected into the network of the power utility via circuit breakers.

3- Does TRADER ENERGY MANAGEMENT cover my area?

We act in the whole national territory, with emphasis in the Florida, USA and Brazilian Northeast and Midwest regions. It will be our pleasure to serve you.

4- How much does the photovoltaic solar system cost?

The cost of the system depends on its size and selected equipment, which in turn depend on the amount of energy needed and characteristics of the installation site.

5- Is some adaptation necessary in my company?

No, you can use the existing electrical installation of your company, as well as your roof or slab to fix the panels. The utility company will change the energy meter for a bidirectional meter.

6- What is my payback?

Today, the payback of a photovoltaic system varies between 4 and 7 years, according to the tariff mode used in the place where the system will be installed.

7- How do I apply for the 26% solar tax credit?

After purchasing your solar system, fill out Form 5695 when you file your taxes. Here is a guide you can follow on how to claim the solar tax credit.

8- Are solar systems in Florida exempt from property tax and sales tax?

Yes, solar power systems in Florida are exempt from property tax and sales tax.

The sales tax exemption represents a savings of 6% on the upfront cost of a rooftop solar system. Meanwhile, the property tax exemption means ongoing savings on your annual property tax bill.

9- What is Net Metering?

Net Metering allows customers who connect approved, renewable generation systems such as solar panels to the electric grid to buy and sell electricity.

When you generate electricity from your solar array for your home or business, it reduces the amount of energy you purchase from your local supplier. It also lowers your monthly electric bills. If your system produces more energy than you need, the excess power is sold back to local supplier grid. That amount of energy is deducted from your monthly bill or credited toward a future bill in the same calendar year.
